I applied and interviewed for a few entry level positions at the LA LGBT Center that I was overqualified for, but I guess the black trans hiring manager must have thought I was too privileged to work there as a gay white man. I followed up with a handwritten thank you note, a few calls and e-mails and she just ignored me after pretending I was the best candidate she'd ever seen during my interview.
It made me wonder who is benefiting from this organization if not an unemployed gay person.
